Our Story
James Lint Sr. was serving as chairman of the Northeast Georgia Fair when his neighbor called to tell him his house had been burglarized. Instead of hoping it wouldn’t happen again, he decided to do something about it. He learned the trade from the ground up, built his first security system using a car battery, a siren, and a handful of switches.
He grew Lint Security the right way: by treating every customer like a neighbor, because most of them were. When James Sr. passed away in 2020, his son Jimmy carried the business forward with the same values, the same commitment to the community, and the same belief that security should be personal, not transactional.

See all FAQsIt depends on the size of your home or business and what you need covered. Most residential systems start in the hundreds. Commercial systems vary more widely. The best way to get an accurate number is a free site survey. We size the quote to what we actually see, not a template.
No. Lint Security does not require an installation permit for residential or commercial security system installations. The only exception is commercial fire alarm work, which does require a permit under Georgia code. If your project includes a commercial fire system, we handle the permit process as part of the job.
Yes. We provide 24/7 UL-listed monitoring through a certified partner monitoring center. Monitoring plans are available for both residential and commercial systems. When your alarm goes off, someone is actually watching, not just logging it.
