What We Hear

School Security Challenges We Hear About Every Day

  • Controlling Who Gets Into the Building

Most school security incidents start at an uncontrolled entry point. When anyone can walk in unchecked, it puts students and staff at risk. Access control systems let you decide exactly who gets in, when, and through which doors. You can pull a full log of every entry and revoke access in seconds if needed.

  • No Camera Coverage Where It Counts

Parking lots, hallways, and exterior entry points are where most incidents happen on a school campus. Without security cameras in the right spots, there is no record of what happened or when. The right placement covers blind spots and gives administrators a clear picture of the whole campus at any time.

  • Slow or No Response After Hours

A school with no 24/7 monitoring depends on someone calling 911 after the fact. That means break-ins, vandalism, or fires go undetected until morning. Professional monitoring means trained operators are watching and ready to dispatch police or fire the moment something triggers at your school.

  • Outdated Systems That No Longer Hold Up

Security equipment from 10 or 15 years ago was not built for today's campuses. Older systems often cannot connect to modern monitoring platforms, mobile apps, or newer cameras. If your school security system has not been updated recently, there are likely gaps you do not know about.

What We Install

The services that make the biggest difference for K-12 campuses in North Georgia.

How It Works

School Security Challenges We Hear About Every Day

It starts with a free site survey. One of our technicians walks the campus with you, checks every entry point, reviews camera blind spots, and asks how your staff currently manages building access. From there we put together a quote and a plan. No guesswork, no surprises.

Once you approve the plan, we order the equipment and schedule the installation. Most school security installs take one to three days depending on campus size and the number of cameras and access points involved. We work around your schedule to avoid disrupting the school day.

When the installation is done, we walk your staff through the full system. You will know how to manage door credentials, pull up camera footage, and reach us if anything comes up. The three things that make the biggest difference for K-12 campuses in North Georgia:

We serve schools throughout North Georgia, including Gainesville, Cornelia, Cleveland, Dahlonega, and the surrounding area. Request a free site survey and we will come to you.

Why Lint Security

We're Not Here to Make a Sale. We're Here to Earn Your Trust.

Anyone can sell you a security system. Not everyone will still be there when something goes wrong ten years later. We will be.

  • Family Owned and Operated

National companies sell accounts, close branches, and route you to out-of-state call centers. Lint Security has been here since 1985 and grew entirely on word of mouth.

  • Our People. Start to Finish.

From the first call to the final installation, every person you interact with is a Lint employee. Not a contractor. Not a call center. Someone who works here every day.

  • A real person calls and text

When your alarm goes off, our monitoring partner Criticom calls you right away. If you do not answer, they send police or fire. No app alert. A real person.

  • We visit before we quote

ADT and Vivint sell you a package over the phone. We come to your property first and build a system around what you actually need.

  • Licensed and Certified

We hold a GA LVA license plus Access Control, and CCTV certifications. Every job is done by our own technicians.

Have Questions? We Have Answers.

Security is a significant decision. Most people have questions before they're ready to call. Here are the ones we hear most.

See all FAQs
  • Can you secure a school campus with multiple buildings?

Yes. We design and install security systems for multi-building campuses, coordinating camera coverage, access control, and alarm systems across every entry point. Each building can be managed independently or tied into one central system depending on your setup. We do a full site survey before quoting so nothing gets missed.

  • What is the best way to control who enters a school building?

Access control systems are the most reliable option for K-12 campuses. We install keycard and keypad systems that restrict building entry to authorized staff only. You can set different access levels for different people, lock and unlock doors remotely, and see a full log of every entry event. Pair that with a video intercom at the main entrance and you have a solid, layered front-door setup.

  • Can school administrators view camera footage remotely?

Yes. We configure remote viewing so principals, administrators, and safety staff can check live or recorded security camera footage from a phone or computer. The Alarm.com platform makes this easy to manage without IT support. You can give different staff members different levels of access depending on their role.

  • How does 24/7 monitoring work for a school?

When an alarm triggers at your school, our monitoring partner Criticom gets an alert right away. They call a designated contact at your school within 10 seconds. If there is no answer, they dispatch police or fire immediately. This is separate from the phone app which lets you view cameras and manage your system. The app and the monitoring center work together, but they do different jobs. One lets you see. The other responds.

  • How long does a school security system installation take?

Most school installs take one to three days depending on campus size and scope of work. If you are combining access control, cameras, and monitoring, we can phase the installation to work around your school calendar. We schedule everything to minimize disruption to students and staff, and we do not leave until everything is tested and your team knows how to use it.
