Security Systems in Gainesville, GA

Hall County has grown faster than almost anywhere else in North Georgia, and Gainesville has grown right along with it. New subdivisions, new commercial corridors, and more people moving in every year have changed what this community looks like, and that growth has brought a real rise in property crime that a lot of residents did not expect. If you own a home or run a business here, security systems in Gainesville GA are worth taking seriously. Lint Security has been serving Hall County since 1985, and our team knows these neighborhoods the way only a local company can.

Why Lint Security

We're Not Here to Make a Sale. We're Here to Earn Your Trust.

Anyone can sell you a security system. Not everyone will still be there when something goes wrong ten years later. We will be.

  • Family Owned and Operated

National companies sell accounts, close branches, and route you to out-of-state call centers. Lint Security has been here since 1985 and grew entirely on word of mouth.

  • Our People. Start to Finish.

From the first call to the final installation, every person you interact with is a Lint employee. Not a contractor. Not a call center. Someone who works here every day.

  • A real person calls and text

When your alarm goes off, our monitoring partner Criticom calls you right away. If you do not answer, they send police or fire. No app alert. A real person.

  • We visit before we quote

ADT and Vivint sell you a package over the phone. We come to your property first and build a system around what you actually need.

  • Licensed and Certified

We hold a GA LVA license plus Access Control, and CCTV certifications. Every job is done by our own technicians.

Gainesville Is One of Georgia's Fastest-Growing Cities. Property Crime Grew With It.

Hall County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia, and Gainesville has grown right along with it. More people moving in means more neighborhoods, more traffic, and a property crime rate that has climbed steadily alongside the population. Hall County sees a meaningful number of residential break-ins and vehicle thefts every year, most of them opportunistic, and most of them in areas people consider safe. An unlocked car or a door without a sensor is the same opportunity whether it sits in a new subdivision off Hog Mountain Road or an older neighborhood near the downtown square.

Lake Lanier brings seasonal residents and vacation rentals to the area, which means more properties sitting empty for stretches of time and more exposure during the off-season. The Veterans Parkway and McEver Road corridors have seen strong commercial growth, and businesses in those areas deal with the same realities as any expanding district: more foot traffic and more after-hours risk. Most residential break-ins are avoidable with the right setup. A monitored alarm system, cameras on the entry points, and a yard sign showing coverage is enough to make most homes far less attractive as a target.

Have Questions? We Have Answers.

Security is a significant decision. Most people have questions before they're ready to call. Here are the ones we hear most.

See all FAQs
  • What happens when my alarm goes off?

When your alarm triggers, a signal is sent immediately to Criticom, our UL-listed central monitoring station. A trained operator contacts you within seconds to verify the alert. If they cannot reach you, or if there is a confirmed emergency, they dispatch police, fire, or EMS to your property right away. No action needed on your end. Criticom monitors your system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you are covered whether you are home, at work, or out of town.

  • How fast does professional monitoring actually respond when an alarm triggers?

When an alarm triggers on a Lint Security-monitored property, it goes immediately to Criticom, a UL-listed professional monitoring station. Criticom calls the customer within 10 seconds of the alarm. If you confirm it is a false alarm, they stand down. If you do not answer, they dispatch police or fire without waiting. This is a certified monitoring center with a direct line to emergency dispatch, staffed around the clock. Not an app notification you might sleep through. You can read more on the home security monitoring page or the commercial monitoring page.

  • I live near Lake Lanier and my house sits empty for weeks at a time. What do you recommend?

Vacant properties near the lake get targeted more often than most owners expect, especially in the off-season when fewer neighbors are around to notice anything. For a property that sits empty regularly, Lint Security typically recommends a monitored alarm system with cellular backup so a cut phone line does not disable it, outdoor cameras on the main entry points and driveway, and professional monitoring so someone is watching even when you are hours away. A site survey is the right first step. A technician will come out, look at the property, and give you a specific recommendation based on what is actually there.

  • How is Lint Security different from ADT or a national alarm company?

The biggest difference is what happens after the installation. With a national company, you are often dealing with a call center, a different technician each visit, and a monitoring plan built for volume. Lint Security is local. Jase Lint has been in this industry since 1980, and when something needs attention, you call the same people who installed the system. No subcontractors. No regional service center. If price is the only factor, a national chain might win. If what you care about is someone actually picking up the phone at 2 a.m., the math looks different.

  • What equipment brands does Lint Security use?

Lint Security works with several professional-grade brands depending on the property and the application. For alarm panels and sensors, they commonly use 2GIG, Honeywell, and Napco. For cameras, they work with HikVision and Ubiquiti UniFi Protect systems. Alarm.com serves as the monitoring platform and mobile app that connects your cameras, panel, and monitoring center. For commercial access control, they use Ztec door controllers. The right equipment for your property depends on the layout and your specific needs, which is part of what the site survey determines.
