If they cannot reach you, or if there is a confirmed emergency, they dispatch police, fire, or EMS to your property right away. No action needed on your end. Criticom monitors your system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you are covered whether you are home, at work, or out of town.
Yes, but it takes the right equipment. Lint Security uses cellular-based monitoring communicators, so your system does not rely on a landline or home internet connection. In areas with weak signal, a primary and backup cellular path can be configured to improve reliability. During the site survey, the technician will test signal strength at your property and recommend the setup that makes sense for your location. This is one reason the site survey matters so much for mountain properties.
Yes. That is one of the most common situations Lint Security handles in mountain communities. Your system stays active whether you are there or not. If an alarm triggers, Criticom contacts you immediately and dispatches help if needed. All Lint Security alarm systems include a battery backup. If your power goes out, the system stays active and monitoring continues without interruption. The backup battery typically keeps the system running for several hours. This matters in mountain areas where ice storms, downed trees, and weather events can knock out power for an extended period. For vacation homes that may sit empty during storms, this means your property is still protected even if no one is there to notice the power is out.
