Yes, with some important rules. Outdoor cameras covering driveways, parking areas, and exterior entry points are generally allowed and do not raise privacy concerns. Indoor cameras are not permitted in areas where guests have a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as bedrooms and bathrooms. Georgia law and most short-term rental platforms including Airbnb and VRBO require that any cameras be disclosed to guests before booking. Lint Security installs camera systems positioned to protect your property and monitor the exterior while staying within those boundaries. The site survey is a good time to talk through placement.
Yes. Lint Security uses cellular-based monitoring communicators, not landline or home internet, so the system stays connected even in remote locations. For properties with weak cellular signal, the technician will test signal strength during the site survey and configure a setup that works for your specific location. Battery backup keeps the system running through power outages. A monitored system in a remote cabin matters more than it does in a neighborhood precisely because there is nobody nearby to notice something is wrong.
Yes. Motion sensors, door and window contacts, and cameras connected through the Alarm.com platform can all send you alerts when there is activity at the property. You can view live camera footage from your phone anytime. This is useful for checking that a cleaning crew arrived, confirming a guest checked out, or catching unexpected activity during an empty week. Keep in mind that the Alarm.com app is for your own viewing and awareness. Alarm dispatch, if something actually triggers, is handled by the Criticom monitoring center, not the app.
